Lines

Lyon Metro consists of four lines, each having its own letter and color designation: A (red), B (blue), C (orange), and D (green). 44 stations work to serve customers. Total lines length amounts to 32 km. Hours of service: 5:00 a.m. till 12:30 a.m. It is possible to transfer to tram or funicular at some stations.

Fare

Single ticket costs 1,9 EUR. A ticket is valid for all kinds of public transport for 1 hour. Moreover, you can purchase a ticket for 2 hours costing 3,1 EUR, a ticket for unlimited travel after 7 p.m. – 3,1 EUR, a ticket for unlimited travel for a whole day – 6 EUR. There is also a Lyon City Card, which allows free access to 22 museums and 31 special offers for tourists in addition to unlimited traveling by public transport. The cost of such card for a child, a teen and an adult is 17, 21, 25 EUR for 1 day; 24, 29, 35 EUR for 2 days; 31, 37, 45 EUR for 3 days.

Ticketing

Tickets are available in terminals, located at every metro station, and at tram stops. Terminals accept payment with credit cards, coins and banknotes in some places. At the platform entrance, tickets are to be validated in a validator. A ticket must be composted every time when shifting transport, except a transfer from one metro line to another.
