Linie

The Milan Metro consists of four lines that have different color and digit codes: M1 (red), M2 (green), M3 (yellow) and M5 (violet). Two of them, М1 and М2, are divided into several sections at the end. So if you are travelling to the terminal station, you should be attentive and wait for the train going to the terminal station you need. The Milan Metro has 113 stations with total lines length of 101 km. Working hours: from 6 a.m. till 0.30 a.m. The metro runs from 7 a.m. till 7.30 p.m. on Christmas and May 1.

Opłata

The cost of a single ticket is € 2.00. It is valid for 90 minutes after its activation in the ticket barrier. A 24-hour ticket costs € 7.00, a tree-day ticket – € 12.00, a ten-journey ticket – € 18.00. Also, in Milan there is a special night rate effective from 08:00 p.m. until the metro closes. At this period of time the cost of a journey is € 3.00. Several stations of the Milan Metro, Sesto I Maggio, Sesto Rondò, Pero, Rho Fiera, Assago Milanofiori Nord, Assago Milanofiori Forum and two sections from Cascina Gobba are beyond the scope of the city fare.

Bilet

Metro tickets can be purchased from ticket machines and ticket offices (all kinds of tickets) as well as news stalls (single tickets). You have to activate your ticket at the ticket barrier in order to enter the station. Keep the ticket until the end of the journey.
